Archiginnasio (Teatro Anatomico)
The Anatomical Theatre, where anatomical lessons (dissection of corpes) were held, was built in 1637 inside Palazzo dell'Archiginnasio (Archiginnasio Palace). The Palace was built in 1563 and was the University Centre of Bologna until 1803. Today it is an important town library.

Museo Civico Archeologico
The Archaelogical Museum in Palazzo Galvani (Galvani Palace), which once was the Ospedale della Morte (Hospital of Death), houses an important archaelogical Etruscan and Celtic collection. Also Greek, Egyptian and Roman collection.

Museo Civico Medievale
The Medieval Museum is in Palazzo Ghisilardi-Fava (Ghisilardi-Fava Palace) built towards the end ofthe V century. Medieval sculpures, weapons, objects made out of ivory, glass and bronze. and ancient codices. On the first floor of the building you can visit the hall with the frescos of Carracci.
